About this board game

Barker’s Row is a 2–4-player carnival game with a playing time of about 50 minutes, in which each player races to fill their 3D chipboard seats with rube meeples.

As a carnival barker, you build your midway by drafting barker cards from a shared community pool. You then use those cards to play attractions that amaze and delight the rubes waiting in your seats.

Each attraction does more than help create your show. When you play one, it also gives you a special power to use later in the game, adding new possibilities to your efforts to fill the seats. The attraction lineup includes memorable spectacles such as Lobster Boy, Goose-Necked Girl, and the Fiji Mermaid.

  • For 2–4 players
  • Approximately 50 minutes to play
  • Draft barker cards from a community pool
  • Play attractions for special powers and rube meeples
  • Race to fill your 3D chipboard seats

Every time you play an attraction, you climb higher on the strongman tower. This makes your next attraction harder to play, creating an elegant, thematic catch-up mechanism that can help keep the contest close.

With its colorful carnival premise, distinctive attractions, and steadily shifting challenge, Barker’s Row turns every new spectacle into a choice about how to advance your show. The first player to fill all of their seats wins.
