Battle for Stalingrad is a two-player board game of urban combat, playable in about 60 minutes, set during the 200-day battle from July 17, 1942, to February 2, 1943.

Take your place in the rubble-strewn streets of the key Soviet city as German forces fight through one section after another. Opposing them are the civilians and armed forces of Russia, defending Stalingrad in desperate house-to-house fighting amid bloodshed and the chilling Russian winter.

The city changes as the battle unfolds. Ceaseless fighting grinds one section after another into rubble, while the deterioration of the city reduces the amount of supplies generated for your men. This creates a steadily tightening struggle in which every remaining resource matters.

• Fight for the city: Contest the streets and blocks of Stalingrad in a direct clash between German and Soviet forces.
• Manage supplies: Food and supplies are essential to your army, supporting movement and attacks.
• Endure attrition: Without supplies, your forces cannot move or attack and suffer higher casualties in combat.

Both sides must secure the city before they run out of blood and food. As the urban landscape deteriorates and supplies grow scarcer, the battle becomes a struggle not only against the enemy but also against exhaustion and deprivation.

In Battle for Stalingrad, the final turns place both armies amid the ruins, scrambling through what remains of the city in search of food as much as the opposing force. The result is a focused game of survival and control set in one of World War II’s most desperate battles.
