About this board game

BattleCON Fighting System is a head-to-head dueling card game for 2–4 players, with matches lasting about 45 minutes. Two heroes face off in tactical battles where every decision can shape the action.

Each turn, called a beat, both players secretly choose their attacks before revealing and executing them simultaneously. This hidden selection creates a constant contest of prediction, timing, and strategy, with a wide range of viable plays available at any moment.

An attack combines two cards: a character-specific style and a typically shared base. Bases define the fundamental tactics of combat, such as heavy punches, light punches, projectiles, and throws. They commonly provide movement, resistance to stun, priority, range, and power.

Styles add each character’s personal identity to those basic attacks. They can enhance an attack with abilities including time control, life drain, increased speed, or damage absorption. Together, the two-card system supports extreme character specialization while giving players meaningful tactical choices throughout a match.

  • Simultaneous play: Choose and reveal attacks together each beat.
  • Two-card attacks: Pair a character style with a base to create your move.
  • Tactical positioning: Movement, range, priority, and power all influence combat.
  • Distinct heroes: Character-specific styles deliver a broad range of abilities and play patterns.

The first complete BattleCON set, War of Indines, follows the heroes and villains of Indines, a fantasy world combining ancient magic, high technology, and political intrigue. Released in 2010, the system is designed to make every duel memorable and action packed.
