About this board game

Berried Treasure is a fast-paced, highly interactive game for 2–5 players that plays in about 20 minutes. Hungry critters compete to grab as many delicious baked treats as possible from the tableau and build the most valuable stash.

On your turn, take a card from the tableau and add it to your stash. Some cards are marked “Moar”, letting you grab an extra card and keep the action moving. Other cards have “grabby paws”, allowing you to steal cards from another player’s stash.

• Take treats from the tableau and add them to your stash.
• Use “Moar” cards to grab an extra card.
• Play cards with “grabby paws” to steal from another player.
• Score different treats for different points each round.
• Watch out for ties: if you tie with another player, you both end up with nothing.

The scoring twist makes every collection a risky calculation. Different treats change in value from round to round, while matching another player’s score can wipe out both results. That combination of grabbing, stealing, and tie-related danger keeps the contest highly interactive.

Released in 2021, Berried Treasure was restored from Sid Sackson’s classic Buried Treasure (1992). With its quick play time, direct player interaction, and push-and-pull over valuable treats, Berried Treasure offers a compact card-driven contest for groups of two to five.
