Beyond the Sun: Sagittarius A and Beta Colony is a two-card promotional set for 2–4 players, with an approximately 120-minute play time. Released in 2021, it adds one System card and one Technology card to Beyond the Sun.

The Sagittarius A System card creates a particularly restrictive destination. A ship may never leave this System for any reason, including when ships are passing through it.

Colonizing Sagittarius A has a major consequence for every faction. When the System is colonized, all ships on it are removed from the game, regardless of which faction they belong to.

The Beta Colony Technology card offers another way to colonize a System card, but it requires a specific payment. To use it, pay two ore and return two population.

After paying the cost, you receive a reward based on the value of the highest ship returned to your Faction mat. This creates a clear connection between the ships you give up and the reward you gain.

• Sagittarius A: Ships cannot leave the System, and colonization removes all ships there from the game.
• Beta Colony: Pay two ore and return two population to colonize a System card, then gain a reward based on the highest-value returned ship.

These cards are designed to be added to Beyond the Sun as promotional content. The set was also available as part of the rewards for backing the Game Boy Geek 2021 Kickstarter campaign.
