About this board game
Bezzerwizzer Timeline is a historical timeline game for 2–99 players, with a play time of about 40 minutes. It combines the timeline challenge of placing historical events in the correct order with the tactical interaction of Bezzerwizzer.
Each player or team receives four cards featuring historical events. On your turn, place your cards in the appropriate position on the growing timeline. Correct placement is essential, but timing also matters: the longer you wait to place a card, the more points it can yield.
Waiting creates a difficult choice. As more cards are added, the timeline provides more information, but finding the correct position becomes harder. A card that could earn more points may also become a riskier play.
- Historical event cards: Place four cards in their correct positions on the timeline.
- Bezzerwizzer token: If another player or team is wrong, use the token to score points from their mistake.
- Zwap token: Exchange two cards in play, taking an opponent’s card while they receive one of yours, or swap cards between two opponents.
The tokens give players ways to disrupt plans and take advantage of uncertain answers. The Zwap token can alter who is facing which challenge, while the Bezzerwizzer token rewards careful observation of other players’ placements.
With its blend of historical knowledge, timing, and tactical token use, Bezzerwizzer Timeline offers a shared timeline that changes throughout the game. Decide when to commit each card, judge the risks, and look for opportunities to benefit when others place events incorrectly.
