Black Swan

About this board game

Black Swan is a block wargame for 2–5 players that recreates World War II in Europe from 1939 to 1945, with a listed play time of 1000 minutes and excellent solitaire suitability.

Each game turn represents three months, or one season. More than 200 combat units bring the conflict to the table, while several three-season scenarios and two full campaigns—starting in 1939 and 1941—offer different ways to experience the war.

As the Axis, you must seek a swift victory. You may pursue a Mediterranean strategy aimed at breaking the British Empire or commit to an all-out effort to demolish the Red Army. If a Decisive Victory is out of reach, Strategic and Economic Victory objectives remain possible.

The Allied side faces a very different challenge: survive the initial onslaught, prepare for a prolonged war of attrition, and eventually deliver a decisive blow against the Reich. The game’s central theme is uncertainty, as carefully constructed plans can unravel and unexpected events can reverse apparent advantages.
