About this board game

Blacksmith Brothers is a 2–4 player board game with an approximately 90-minute playing time, first released in 2016. Each player takes on the role of two master blacksmith brothers seeking glory in the Kingdom of Hammer Stones.

The King is searching for the finest blacksmiths in the realm, creating a race to demonstrate skill at the forge. Players allocate their two meeples to specific constructions on the board, choosing how their brothers will contribute to the workshop’s progress.

The game’s central process follows the work of a blacksmith:

  • Place your two meeples in constructions to collect resources.
  • Carry those resources to your warehouse so they can be forged.
  • Sell the finished goods to nobles in exchange for special abilities and victory points.

Every completed sale can help advance your claim to the title of the kingdom’s finest artisans. The nobles reward successful blacksmiths with both victory points and useful special abilities, giving players important incentives as they gather, transport, forge, and sell their goods.

When the King returns to his castle, the competition ends. The brothers with the most points win the match and earn the honor of being hired as the Kingdom’s official blacksmiths.

With its focus on worker allocation, resource collection, forging, and sales to nobles, Blacksmith Brothers presents a focused contest for players who want to manage two meeples while building their path to royal recognition.
