About this expansion

Blood Bowl (2016 Edition): The Inaugural Blood Bowl Almanac is a 140-page hardback companion for 2 players, with a listed play time of 180 minutes and a 2017 release. It brings together the two available Death Zone seasons, selected White Dwarf content, and a wealth of material for Blood Bowl coaches.

At its core is a complete guide to running an official league. Follow rules for drafting and maintaining teams, handling casualties, earning and spending Star Player points, organizing playoffs, and continuing into new seasons. A blank roster and match record sheet is also included.

The almanac expands league play with optional rules that can change how a competition develops. Coaches can handicap the gold earned by top-flight teams, keep Star Players around longer, arrange sponsorship deals, and add infamous referees, cheerleaders, and coaching staff. Different balls, including some that may explode, and rules for exhibition matches add further variety.

  • 12 Star Players: Barik Farblast, Glart Smashrip, Kreek Rustgouger, Horkon Heartripper, the Swift Twins, Bo Gallanté, Willow Rosebark, Karla Von Kill, Helmut Wulf, Ripper Bolgrot, Scrappa Sorehead, and Madcap Miggz.
  • Hall of Fame: Read the histories and team rosters of eight featured teams, including the Bright Crusaders, Orcland Raiders, Chaos All-Stars, and Underworld Creepers.
  • Reference material: Find alternate Special Play card rules, a compendium of player skills, an official team reference, Star Player summaries, and weather tables.

With an FAQ addressing rules questions raised by the Blood Bowl community, Blood Bowl (2016 Edition): The Inaugural Blood Bowl Almanac collects essential league guidance and additional reference content in one volume.
