About this board game

Bluffit is a tense bluffing game for 2–6 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Compete to claim scoring cards, outguess your rivals, and finish with the highest total.

Each player begins with a hand of cards numbered 1–10. To start a round, reveal a number of random scoring cards equal to the number of players. Everyone then chooses a card from their hand and plays it face down as a hidden strength card.

Players act in turn, choosing whether to claim an available scoring card or challenge someone who has already claimed one. During a challenge, both players secretly compare their strength cards. The higher card wins the scoring card, while a tie goes to the challenging player.

• Hidden information: Keep your played strength card secret while judging when to claim or challenge.
• Changing scoring cards: After each round, the played strength cards are shuffled and revealed to create the next set of scoring cards.
• Final opportunity: After ten rounds, use one card from your score pile for a final round.

At the end of each round, unclaimed scoring cards are removed, while claimed cards enter players’ score piles. The cards played as strength cards are then reshuffled and become the next round’s scoring options, creating a constantly changing contest of risk and deduction.

Bluffit also includes four optional special cards per player. These replace regular numbered cards and introduce unusual strength rules, including The Optimistic 1, which beats a 10 in a challenge, and The Flipped 5, which beats cards 6–10 but loses to cards 1–4. With its simultaneous hidden plays and direct challenges, Bluffit makes every claim a potential bluff.
