About this board game

Break the Code is a logical deduction game for 2–4 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Use number tiles and question cards to uncover hidden information, then make the correct guess before your opponents do.

In a two-player game, your goal is to deduce all of your opponent’s tiles. With three or four players, you instead try to identify the face-down tiles in the center. In either case, the final answer must give the colors and numbers in order from left to right.

To begin, shuffle all the number tiles face down and draw your tiles. Place a game screen in front of you, then arrange your tiles face up behind it in ascending numerical order from left to right. If two tiles show the same number, place the black tile on the left. Remove any unused number tiles from the game.

Shuffle the question cards and place them face down as a draw pile. Reveal the top six cards and place them in the center of the table. These cards provide the questions that guide your deductions as you work to determine the hidden tiles.
