About this expansion

Brew: Companion Creature mini-expansion adds a powerful new action to the game for 2–4 players, with a play time of 90 minutes. Released in 2021, it introduces a Companion that can support your turns with a reusable ability.

You may use your Companion once per round, at any time during your turn. This timing gives you flexibility, allowing the action to fit naturally into your plans rather than restricting it to a particular phase of play.

Using the Companion comes with a clear exhaustion system. When you activate it, turn the Companion sideways to show that it is Exhausted and cannot be used again during that round.

• Use the Companion once per round.
• Turn it sideways after use to show that it is Exhausted.
• Refresh it at the end of the round for use during the next round.

At the end of each round, refresh your Companion by returning it to its ready position. This resets its availability and ensures that the action can be used again in the following round.
