About this board game

Bronze Age is a two-player card game that takes about 30 minutes, challenging players to build the strongest civilization in the ancient Mediterranean.

Using a single-deck format, players acquire multi-use cards from several decks and develop their civilizations over the course of the game. Each card can contribute to a growing society while also creating opportunities for future abilities and end-game scoring.

A central feature of Bronze Age is its use of Action Cards. These cards are connected to the game’s three different Territory types and provide different bonuses depending on where and how they are played. Choosing the right placement and use can shape the development of your civilization.

Both players share broad goals: exploring, prospering, and building their society. However, each player also concentrates on two of the game’s four other aspects, granting unique abilities that help define their approach during the game.

As cards are added to each civilization, they provide new abilities and potential points for the final score. When the game ends, the player with the most points wins. With its compact play time and direct competition, Bronze Age offers a focused contest of card acquisition, placement, development, and scoring.
