Bruti

About this board game

Bruti is a fast-paced medieval fantasy card game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 50 minutes. Players can battle in teams or compete in a free-for-all, taking the role of bloodthirsty warriors known as Brutes.

Before the fight, each Brute can be equipped with different weapons, shields, armours, and special objects. Equipment and a Brute’s unique special power determine how many cards that player can bring into the fight, making the choice of character and gear an important part of preparation.

During the battle, cards let players attack opponents or perform special actions. A successfully landed attack cannot be prevented by special cards, armour, or shields, and forces the target to discard cards from their hand.

• Play with 2, 3, or 4 players.
• Choose between team play and free-for-all combat.
• Use weapons, armour, shields, objects, and unique Brute powers.
• Manage your hand while attempting to defeat opposing Brutes.

If a target has no cards left to discard, they must draw from the Gruesome Damage deck. These cards can bring wounds, mutilations, or even sudden death, but they may also provide unexpected benefits, such as allowing a Brute to go berserk.

With combat cards, character cards, special objects, equipment, mystical invocations, conditions, movement, special abilities, and Mocking Gods cards, Bruti offers a broad collection of tools for its violent fantasy clashes. The objective is simple: defeat your opponent’s Brute before your own fighter falls.
