About this board game

Builder’s High is a 2023 card game for 2–5 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Build a bustling city by constructing buildings with carefully managed budget cards.

There is no room for waste. Each building must be paid for with a well-combined set of budget cards that matches its cost exactly. The challenge is not simply collecting money, but finding the right combination at the right time.

On your turn, choose one of three clear options:

• Take a budget card.
• Take a construction card.
• Construct a building.

Behind these simple choices lies a demanding puzzle of timing and hand management. You must decide what to keep, what to spend, and when to collect cards ahead of time. Watching your opponents and reading their plans can be just as important as developing your own.

Your main objective is to achieve one of the presented city planning cards. Reaching that goal does not immediately bring victory, however. You must eventually use up every card in your hand, making efficient play essential from the beginning to the end of the game.

Building cards also bring effects that can be advantageous or disadvantageous depending on the situation. Their impact adds another layer of judgment as you shape your plans, manage your resources, and respond to changing opportunities.
