About this board game

Busy Beaks is a 2–4 player bird-collecting game with approximately 30 minutes of play, released in 2023. Players gather cards featuring some of Australia’s most fascinating birds and combine them into flocks to score points.

Every flock contributes to your total, but not all birds are simply points on a card. Each bird also brings a special ability that can influence the cards you collect and the choices you make during the game.

• The Powerful Owl lets you search the deck for the card you need.
• The mimicking Magpie lets you copy another card.

These abilities give the birds distinctive roles and add character to the process of building your flocks. Deciding which cards to collect—and how their abilities can support your plans—is central to creating the most valuable combinations.

Before each game, choose which birds you want to use. This selection helps make every play of Busy Beaks feel different, offering a fresh mix of birds and abilities to work with.

At the end, the player who has made the most valuable flocks wins. With its focus on Australian birds, card collection, flock building, and varied abilities, Busy Beaks offers a compact competition for players who enjoy shaping a scoring collection from a changing selection of cards.
