About this board game

Cambria is a fast, aggressive siege-combat board game for 2–5 players, designed to play in around 20 minutes. Set in 400 AD, it places players in Britannia as Roman control begins to weaken.

The Roman occupation is drawing to a close. Most of the Legions have been withdrawn, leaving the network of Roman fortresses and roads only thinly defended, particularly in Cambria. Across the sea, Hibernian warriors are preparing to invade.

Victory depends on making skillful use of your die rolls. Players must work to surround and capture Roman fortresses, turning each roll into an opportunity to press the attack and claim strategic ground.

  • Fast play: Games take approximately 20 minutes.
  • Siege combat: Surround and capture Roman fortresses to win.
  • Dice-driven decisions: Use your die rolls with skill and purpose.
  • Direct conflict: Face your opponents in an aggressive struggle for control.

Cambria combines the simple, clever mechanics associated with a European-style game with the direct player conflict of an American-style game. The result is a focused contest in which straightforward rules support tense tactical choices.

Whether you are approaching the game through its late-Roman setting or its compact siege system, Cambria offers a brisk battle for control. Make the most of every die roll, close in around the fortresses, and take advantage of Rome’s weakening presence in Britannia.
