About this board game

Caminos is a connection game for 2–4 players, with a playing time of about 25 minutes. Somewhere between Rumis and Punct, it challenges players to form a continuous line of their own colour from one side of the board to the other.

Players take turns placing rumis-style 3D Tetris blocks in their colour. Each piece changes the shared structure, creating opportunities to extend a path while working toward a connection across the board.

Every placement must follow three important conditions:

  • The piece may be placed anywhere on the board.
  • It must touch the game board and line up with the grid.
  • It must create no empty space underneath itself.

The winner is the player or team that connects opposite sides of the board with a path made from pieces of their colour. The completed route is judged as viewed from above, giving the three-dimensional structure a clear connection objective.

Because pieces are placed into a shared grid, each turn contributes to the evolving board and the race to link the two sides. Caminos keeps its central goal easy to understand while using stacked, spatial pieces to create the game’s distinctive character.

Released in 2010, Caminos offers a focused connection-game experience for two to four players. Whether played individually or in teams, the key challenge remains the same: place legal pieces and create an unbroken path of your colour across the board.
