About this board game

Candy Hunters is a tactical abstract strategy game for 2–4 players, played in about 30 minutes. Set during Halloween, it challenges players to send kids to the right houses, build patterns on the board, and collect the best candies while avoiding troublesome ghosts.

Your main objective is to place house tiles and create the specific patterns shown on the pattern cards. When kids occupy tiles included in a completed pattern, they collect candies and those tiles are removed from the neighborhood. Careful planning can turn the changing board into valuable scoring opportunities.

Ghosts add a disruptive and tactical element to every plan. They can scare kids and move them to adjacent tiles, potentially ruining a carefully prepared pattern—or helping you position your markers exactly where they need to be. Use their movement to improve your own position and interfere with your opponents.

  • Build patterns on the board to score points from pattern cards.
  • Send kids to houses included in your patterns to collect candies.
  • Remove tiles from the neighborhood as kids collect their candy.
  • Manipulate ghosts to reposition kids or disrupt opposing plans.

With its combination of pattern creation, changing board positions, and ghost manipulation, Candy Hunters rewards players who can adapt quickly. Every ghost movement may create a new opportunity—or force you to rethink your strategy before another player takes advantage of it.
