About this board game

Canopy is a rainforest-building game for 1–4 players that plays in about 30 minutes. Players develop lush forest tableaus by choosing plants, trees, and wildlife while seeking the ideal balance between flora and fauna.

On each turn, players examine one of three growth piles. They may take the pile and add its cards to their rainforest, or return it face down with one additional card added. As the piles grow, the potential rewards increase—but so does the need to choose carefully.

The jungle is shaped by symbiosis and mutualism, so the cards you select can help create a more thriving ecosystem. Grow tall trees and lush jungle plants to attract diverse wildlife, then develop a forest that is as bountiful and balanced as possible.

Every decision involves weighing an available reward against the chance that a more valuable pile may appear later. Returning a pile makes it larger, but leaving it for another turn can change the shape of your developing rainforest.

Canopy also includes an additional deck of season variant cards, offering another way to shape the game. Whether you are competing to create the most bountiful rainforest or exploring the solo option, each game invites you to cultivate a diverse and thriving jungle ecosystem.
