Captain’s Gambit: Kings of Infinite Space is an asymmetric, Shakespeare-inspired hidden-role game for 4–8 players, with a play time of 90 minutes. Each player takes the role of an alien captain whose secret objective shapes their path to victory.

Your captain determines what you must pursue. The technomancer Prospero must stockpile power, brainmother Lady Macbeth must bloody her hands, while Hamlet must assassinate a specific target. Because every captain has a different win condition, the game encourages shifting alliances, unexpected offers, and carefully chosen deals.

Each player receives one captain card and two permit cards. Permit cards correspond to powerful permit actions, but they remain face-down throughout play. This creates opportunities for bold declarations and calculated bluffs: you can announce any action you would like, even when other players may question whether you truly hold the necessary permit.

Other players can challenge a doubtful declaration. The player who loses the bluff call takes 3 damage, making every accusation a meaningful risk. Choosing when to make a claim, when to challenge, and when to let an opponent’s story stand is central to the game’s tension.
