About this expansion
Carcassonne: The Castle – Falcon Expansion is a two-player expansion for Carcassonne: The Castle, designed for games lasting around 30 minutes.
In this free print-and-play addition, the Prince is growing up and has taken up falconry. His new interest has changed the castle, bringing a large number of falcon nests into the game. These nests create additional opportunities and challenges for both players.
Religion has also arrived at the castle. Players now have the possibility of building chapels, adding another notable feature to this two-player Carcassonne experience.
- Falconry introduces falcon nests to the castle.
- Religion brings the possibility of building chapels.
- The expansion is available as a free print-and-play download.
Carcassonne: The Castle – Falcon Expansion offers more ways to enjoy the original game while staying focused on its compact two-player format. Its new castle elements provide fresh opportunities and challenges without changing the game’s intended player count or approximate 30-minute playing time.
The expansion was presented by Reiner Knizia, Klaus-Jürgen Wrede, and Hans-im-Glück Verlag. According to Reiner Knizia, Rio Grande originally planned to release it in 2009. It was released in 2013 and is available as a free print-and-play download from knizia.de/more.
