Cartographers: Map Pack 4 – Frozen Expanse: Realm of Frost Giants is a map-expansion for 1–75 players, with a play time of 45 minutes and a 2022 release. It can be played with either Cartographers: A Roll Player Tale or Cartographers Heroes.

Chill winds sweep across the Frozen Expanse, home to the Kaiika and the fearsome Frost Giants. Queen Gimnax has sent you to this cursed land with torn scraps from a previous expedition, left behind by a cartographer who did not survive the journey.

Your task is to complete the unfinished map while using the work of your ill-fated guildfellow to guide your choices. The frozen landscape introduces new demands, so careful planning is essential as you place terrain and respond to the challenges of the expedition.

Frozen Expanse adds new content to the Cartographers experience, including:

• 75 double-sided new map sheets
• Pre-scouted spaces and a frozen lake
• Two new ambush cards
• One new hero card
• New terrain placement requirements
• A large bonus for surrounding a lake

The map sheets give players new frozen territories to explore, while the placement requirements demand attention throughout the game. The lake offers a particularly valuable objective: surround it successfully to pursue a large bonus.
