About this board game

Cascadito is a 1–4 player map-building strategy game that takes about 45 minutes to play. Each player uses a personal sheet and pencil to develop routes across a kingdom while competing for achievements and private bonuses.

At the start of each round, six dice are rolled. On their turns, players draft a die from the available options, then use its color to fill in a space adjacent to a matching colored town on their map. Because the dice are shared, every choice requires players to consider both their own plans and their opponents’ routes.

As groups of filled spaces reach towns, they trigger scoring in the book of successes on the player’s sheet. Careful route planning can create escalating successes and powerful combinations, helping players compete for public achievements and private bonuses.

  • Four unique sheets: Rural Beginnings, Raiding Bandits, The Two Rivers, and Trade and Defense.
  • Each sheet features its own map, tracks, achievements, strategies, landmarks, and bonuses.
  • Includes a solo mode for every sheet, with standard and advanced difficulty.
  • A smaller, faster experience designed for filler play or taking on the go.

The game ends immediately when all public achievements have been claimed or when one player gains all the private bonuses. Players then tally their successes and achievements to determine the winner.

Retaining the challenging, combotastic interplay between the map and book of successes associated with Cascadero, Cascadito offers a distinct and complementary experience in a compact format. Its four sheets provide different routes, priorities, and strategic challenges from game to game.
