About this board game

Castellans is a competitive city-building game for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 120 minutes. Players build jurisdictions in the city of Kosk, each aiming to become its next Castellan.

Construction brings difficult choices. You must navigate the complexities of building while weighing short-term gains against long-term goals. A small payoff now may provide certainty, but waiting could create the opportunity for a larger reward later.

The timing of your progress matters just as much as the work itself. As construction continues, the local Magistrate moves through Kosk’s districts and judges everyone’s accomplishments at different times. Your plans must account for when that judgment arrives, not only for what you build.
