Catan Histories: Settlers of America – Trails to Rails is a 3–4 player strategy game for about 120 minutes, set during America’s 19th-century westward expansion.

Using the familiar Catan hex-tile grid as a map of the United States, the game turns westward settlement into a contest of planning, trade, and opportunity. Wagon trains move toward new lands, where players establish settlements and build the cities of tomorrow.

Players collect and trade resources to support their ambitions. Those resources can be used to purchase and migrate settlements, forge railroads, and acquire locomotives. As cities grow, rail networks connect them and help distribute goods to the townsfolk.
