About this expansion
Caverna: The Forgotten Folk is an official expansion for Caverna that supports 1–7 players and takes about 210 minutes to play. It lets each player take on one of several species instead of playing only as the dwarves from the base game.
Forgotten Folk includes eight different species packs, featuring peoples such as elves, dark elves, and trolls. Every species changes the experience with its own combination of special advantages and disadvantages, giving players new ways to approach a game of Caverna.

The species rooms replace rooms from the base game. This not only gives the chosen species access to its distinctive room powers, but also allows other players to gain the powers associated with these species.
Caverna: The Forgotten Folk originated as a fan project on BoardGameGeek before publisher Lookout Games worked with its designer to develop the material as an official expansion. The result adds a broad selection of new identities and room options while keeping those additions connected to the rooms and systems of the base game.
