About this board game

Chain of Command is a World War II miniatures wargame for 2–4 players, featuring platoon-sized actions with additional support and an approximate play time of 120 minutes.

Designed to be fast-paced, exciting, and fun, the rules focus on a unique command and control system. This system presents players with the kinds of battlefield decisions faced by their historical counterparts, making command choices a central part of every engagement.

The 104-page rulebook provides more than the core rules. It also includes a scenario generation system and Army Lists for four major forces, giving players a structured way to create and play a wide range of World War II actions.

  • Rules for World War II platoon-sized miniatures battles
  • A unique command and control system
  • A scenario generation system
  • Army Lists for Britain, Germany, the United States, and the Soviet Union
  • A support-selection system based on the scenario being played

Before each battle, the support system allows gamers to select additional assistance according to the scenario. This helps create well-matched forces while retaining the challenge and character of the situation being played.

Chain of Command is built for players who want engaging skirmish-style rules shaped by meaningful battlefield decisions. The result is a challenging gaming experience that combines historical World War II settings with accessible, action-focused play.

Released in 2013, the game supports head-to-head battles as well as larger games for up to four players.
