About this board game

Champions of Wind & Fire is a dice-based dragon-training game for 1–4 players, played in about 60 minutes. In the world of Walterra, dragons and humans have lived together for centuries, while dragons compete in the famous Tournament of Wind and Fire.

Build and improve your dragon as you gather magical elements and develop its abilities. During the Dragon Training phase, choose dice and manage resources while collecting magical stones on the Pyramid of Elements or sending your dragon to the training grounds.

The annual competition features three disciplines: Fire Breath, Flight, and Tail Wielding. A powerful dragon has clear advantages, but victory depends on how wisely you distribute that strength across the different tournaments.

• Upgrade and train your dragon through dice selection and resource management.
• Collect magical stones and gather elements to strengthen your tournament efforts.
• Place hidden bets using your magical resources during the Tournament phase.
• Play action cards at any time to surprise your opponents.

When the Tournament phase begins, commit your hidden bets, boost your dragon’s power with collected resources, and look for the best opportunities across the three events. The strongest dragon is not automatically the winner: strategic choices and well-timed plays determine who rises to the top.
