Citadels: Scenic Route Mini Expansion

About this expansion

Citadels: Scenic Route Mini Expansion is a set of 14 new district cards for Citadels, for 2–8 players with a 60-minute play time.

Each card introduces different card text and affects the game in its own way. The expansion adds new possibilities to city building, including a special rule for facedown districts: they have no building cost or effects, but they still count toward your completed city.

Some cards interact with components in the box. When using those cards, keep the unused components nearby so they are available during play.

The 14-card set includes a varied selection of new districts:

• Architects’ Guild
• Avant-Garden
• Ballroom
• Clockworks
• Consulate
• Dragon Roost
• Excavation Site
• Festival Ground
• Forum
• Labyrinth
• Royal Coffer
• Shadow Chamber
• Sinkhole
• Trade Bridge

With its mix of individually written effects and the option to include facedown districts in a completed city, Citadels: Scenic Route Mini Expansion offers an additional set of cards for Citadels sessions.

This mini expansion was released in 2021 and was available as a promo with the purchase of the new 2021 edition of the game at participating outlets.
