The valiant Heroes from the core game have done their best to resist the Great Machine, but they have failed. Now, a new group must continue the struggle their predecessors began.

This expansion adds six new Heroes, each bringing exceptional abilities and tactics to the ongoing conflict. These Stand-In Heroes do not simply join the original cast: each one takes the place of a corresponding Hero from the core game.

Their appearance represents a final attempt to stop the Great Machine after the core game’s Heroes have been overcome. Their role continues the same resistance while introducing a fresh set of Heroes to the game.
