Clever

About this board game

Clever is an educational card game for 2–9 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Its cards combine objects and images with colors, categories, letters, and numbers, inviting players to discover connections in several different ways.

In the included 2–5 player rummy-style game, the goal is to get rid of all your cards by playing sets of three or more related cards. A connection might be based on a sequence, spelling a word, matching a color, matching a category, or using cards in a math equation.

• Play cards in sets of three or more related cards.
• Look for links involving sequence, words, colors, categories, or equations.
• Use a multidimensional deck that supports different kinds of games.

The multiple features on each card make Clever more than a single fixed game. The included instructions provide the rummy-style rules, while the deck can also be used for trick-taking games, memory games, or entirely new games created by players.

Whether you are exploring familiar relationships or inventing your own rules, Clever offers a flexible way to work with visual, verbal, categorical, and numerical connections. Its compact card-based format makes it suitable for a short game session or for experimenting with different ways to play.
