About this board game

Clou: Roll & Heist. Again! is a cooperative or solo roll-and-write game for 1–3 players, with a playing time of about 60 minutes. Take on the role of a thief and plan the perfect burglary, from a kiosk job to an attempt to steal the Crown Jewels from the Tower of London.

Each turn, three dice are rolled, and every player must use the results on their character sheet. Fill rows with numbers or cross out circles to activate abilities, advance your heist plan, and collect valuable loot.

• Play cooperatively or alone.
• Use dice combinations and special abilities to manipulate results.
• Meet conditions while making sure all three dice are used.
• Choose when to leave before too much time passes.

The dice are only part of the challenge. Your character’s abilities and tools can help you shape the results, but each turn also brings requirements to fulfill. Make careful choices as you work through the burglary and try to maximize what you take.

The game ends when you decide to leave or when taking too much time turns on the alarm. Your final score reflects both the loot you secured and your overall performance as a thief.

Designed during the coronavirus lockdown, Clou: Roll & Heist. Again! is available as a free print-and-play download. It was created to bring a board game to players during a period of social distancing, while also offering a way to support a local game store.
