About this board game
Conspiracy: The Solomon Gambit is a strategy game for 2–4 players that takes about 60 minutes, restoring the 1973 classic of secret payments, agent control, and international intrigue.
The briefcase is out in the open, and six freelance agents are in the field. Players secretly pay off these agents, then use them to move the briefcase across Europe toward their HQ. Control is never secure: another player can challenge an agent and stop it from moving if they have paid that agent more than you.
Money can also turn a rival’s asset into a liability. For the right price, players can assassinate another agent, disrupting an opponent’s plans and changing the balance of control. Every payment must support both your immediate opportunities and your larger route to victory.
- Secret agent payments: Compete for control without revealing your full position.
- Briefcase movement: Use agents to advance the briefcase across Europe and toward your HQ.
- Challenges and assassinations: Stop contested agents or remove an opposing agent for the right price.
- Unique abilities: Each agent can move an agent or the briefcase for free.
The restored edition gives each agent a distinct ability, adding new tactical possibilities to the original gameplay. It also introduces an alternate win condition designed to prevent stalling and potential stalemates.
If nobody wins within a certain number of turns, Dr. Solomon can end the game immediately. The player who has paid the most to him wins, but investing too much too early may leave you with too little control over the other agents. In Conspiracy: The Solomon Gambit, success depends on balancing immediate action with long-term goals.
