About this board game

Corinth is a 30-minute roll-and-write game for 2–4 players, set in the bustling Mediterranean trading city during the 4th century BCE. Players compete to become the most savvy trader by collecting resources, delivering goods, and developing their personal score sheets.

Each turn, the active player rolls nine dice and organizes them by value. The player then chooses a level, taking all the dice there and performing its associated action. The top level provides gold, the bottom level provides goats, and the middle levels let players deliver goods to market stalls on their personal sheets.

  • Spend gold to roll up to three extra yellow dice and improve the odds of reaching a desired level.
  • Use claimed die values to move the steward across a 5×5 grid without crossing previously drawn lines.
  • Construct buildings with gold or goats to gain bonus powers.
  • Score goods, steward movement, buildings, and remaining gold and goats at the end of the game.

The steward offers another route to points. When it stops on a corner space, you count the circled spaces reached so far, with some spaces counting twice, and record that total for the final scoring. Gold can adjust the steward’s movement, while certain buildings provide further flexibility.

Corinth also rewards careful decisions about shared opportunities. If the active player does not take available yellow dice, they are removed from play, preventing later players from benefiting from that choice. After 16 turns in a four-player game, or 18 turns with two or three players, the trader with the highest total wins.
