About this board game

Corruptia is a political strategy game for 3–5 players, played in about 60 minutes, in which senators reshape public departments to increase the value of their private projects.

In Corruptia, laws are decided behind closed doors, while senators publicly listen to the people. Their real objective, however, is to advance their own agendas. Each senator seeks to gather the most valuable projects in a Secret Agenda, using proposals, votes, and political maneuvering to benefit personal interests.

On each turn, senators propose project cards from their Secret Agendas and relocate the Public Officials on the board. These proposals are put to a vote, so players must persuade or purchase the support of their opponents through blackmail, bribes, lies, and tricks.

  • Propose projects from your Secret Agenda.
  • Relocate Public Officials between Departments.
  • Buy opponents’ votes through political influence and deception.
  • Change Department values as the official distribution shifts.

Every new project can alter the number of Officials assigned to each Department, increasing or decreasing its eventual value. When the game ends, the shared Table of Values is determined by the final number of Officials in every Department.

That common table is then used to calculate the value of the projects in each senator’s Secret Agenda. The senator whose Secret Agenda is worth the most wins. With its focus on changing public values for private gain, Corruptia presents a satirical contest of proposals, negotiation, and calculated voting.
