About this board game
Crosshairs is a combinatorial WW1 aerial combat game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 20 minutes. Each player commands a squadron of planes and must maneuver carefully to bring enemy aircraft into overlapping lines of fire.
On each turn, players move all of their planes. A straight pass flight keeps a plane at the same altitude, while a climb increases its height by adding an altitude ring. A dive lowers the plane’s height and allows a sequence of moves by removing one ring per descent height.
Positioning is crucial because a plane is captured when it lies in the line of fire of two or more enemy planes. Clouds block line of fire, creating strategic cover and giving players another way to shape the battlefield. Every move can open a firing opportunity—or leave a plane dangerously exposed.
- WW1 aerial combat with simultaneous squadron movement
- Three movement options: pass flight, climb, and dive
- Clouds that block line of fire and provide cover
- Fast, aggressive games with player elimination
A player who is reduced to one plane is shot from the sky and eliminated. Victory goes to the player who reduces the only remaining opponent to a single plane. The result is a brutal, fast, and tactical contest where altitude, cover, and coordinated attacks matter.
The base game supports two players and includes red and green biplanes, a board, foam clouds, altitude rings, storage boxes, and a carrying case. Expansions add one additional player each, with orange or yellow biplanes available; the game supports up to four players in total. Crosshairs delivers a compact aerial battle focused on movement, positioning, and decisive attacks.
