About this board game

Crystalla is a 2025 tableau-building game for 2–4 players that plays in about 30 minutes. Arrange twelve crystal cards to create a valuable work of art from seven different types of crystals.

Each card is divided into two shimmering segments, with each segment showing a different colored gemstone type. As you build your tableau, the arrangement of these segments becomes central to your scoring and the appearance of your completed design.

Every crystal scores in its own way. Some are worth more or fewer points when considered separately, while others reward groups or specific patterns, giving each part of your tableau a distinct role.

• Build a tableau containing twelve crystal cards.
• Work with seven types of crystals, including rubies, tourmalines, and diamonds.
• Use an interactive selection mechanism to determine which cards are placed.
• Gain additional crystal pieces that can enhance your design or cloud another player’s structure.

The selection mechanism does more than shape your collection of cards. At times, it also distributes extra crystal pieces. These pieces can cover one of your card’s segments to further develop your artwork, or interfere with the crystal-clear structure created by another player.
