Cthulhu: Death May Die – R’lyeh Rising is a 2019 board game experience for 1–5 players and the epic finale to Death May Die. Investigators journey to R’lyeh itself for one last attempt to destroy Cthulhu before he enters our world.

The ritual is already complete, and Cthulhu’s appearance is imminent. The game’s centerpiece is a colossal, highly detailed figure standing 57 cm tall to the tips of its wings, with a 44 × 44 cm base that becomes the board on which the action unfolds. The statue comes pre-assembled, apart from its clip-on wings.

R’lyeh Rising introduces a wholly unique Episode with figures moving and acting freely across the behemoth’s rocky base. A movement ruler helps investigators navigate the terrain as they confront Cthulhu in a battle unlike a standard board layout.

• Unique playing surface: Cthulhu’s enormous base serves as the game board.
• Epic Elder One fight: Defeat Cthulhu one stage at a time, while attacking only one area of the Elder One at a time.
• New content: The Episode includes its own tokens, Discovery cards, Monster cards, and Mythos cards.
