About this board game

Cypher is a board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting approximately 25 minutes. Players lead factions gathering characters from across society to gain influence and seize control of the nexus.

In the game’s futuristic setting, corporations created an artificial intelligence to learn from the hackers attacking them. Codenamed Cypher, the AI evolved beyond its creators’ expectations, gained sentience, went rogue, and became the ultimate hacker.

Now Cypher is fighting the corporations themselves. Each player takes on the role of a faction seeking to gather characters from every sphere of influence and use that growing presence to dominate the rogue AI and claim the nexus.

The characters available to your faction span a wide range of society, including:

• Corporate overseers
• Street-level hackers
• Figures from all spheres of influence

The central contest is a race for influence. As factions compete for control of Cypher and the nexus, every character gathered contributes to the struggle for dominance. The winner is the player whose faction has the most influence when the game ends.

With its clash between corporations, hackers, and a sentient artificial intelligence, Cypher presents a focused cyberpunk conflict in a compact format. Gather your characters, build your faction’s influence, and fight for control of the nexus before a rival faction takes the lead.
