About this board game

Da ist der Wurm drin is a dice game for 2–4 players that takes about 20 minutes, with each player racing a colorful worm through a compost heap.

To set up the game, attach a smaller board with two slots to the larger board. One slot is marked by a row of daisies and the other by a row of strawberries. Each player chooses a color and places that color’s worm head in the appropriate track.

On your turn, roll the die and add the matching worm section to your track. The sections come in six colors and vary in length from 1 to 6 centimeters, so every roll changes how quickly a worm advances.

The game also rewards prediction. On any turn, you may place your daisy or strawberry tile above the worm you think will reach the corresponding marker first. If that worm pokes its head through the slot before the others, you add the tile to your own worm. A wrong prediction means discarding the tile.
