Darkest Night: In Tales of Old is a 2015 expansion for 1–4 players that sends heroes across the kingdom to uncover the resting places of holy relics and confront the mysteries surrounding them.

Rather than searching for keys, heroes now draw Mystery cards. These cards reveal how to obtain clues to a relic’s location, while sometimes offering other rewards along the way. Each mystery invites the heroes to pursue the secrets hidden throughout the kingdom.

Their investigations may lead into the depths of ancient catacombs, where traps await, or bring them face to face with an antique trader. With the right price, the trader may part with old scrolls that could help advance the search.
