Davy Jones’ Locker: The Kraken Wakes is a cooperative pirate-themed board game for 1–5 players, with an approximate play time of 180 minutes. Across two acts, players prepare their ships, investigate ominous events, and face a terrifying Kraken rising from the depths.

In Act 1, choose a ship and make sail across the map. Every action matters as you gather resources and improve your vessel before the Kraken wakes. Explore ports, visit markets, defeat raiding ships, investigate shipwrecks, and battle naval ships to gain stat increases, gold, and equipment.

Strange stories spread throughout the first act. Beached whales bear unusual markings, pools of red appear in the sea, and ships are dragged beneath the waves without warning. As these unsettling signs become more frequent, the truth emerges: something enormous is stirring below.

When the Kraken awakens, Act 2 begins. The players’ ships are drawn into a huge whirlpool, where they must fight the Kraken, its eight tentacles, and ever-changing currents. Ships may sink during the struggle, but a lost crew is not necessarily out of the fight.

Other players can rescue stranded crew members from the sea, allowing them to operate parts of their own ships and continue the battle. Work together, endure the chaos, and try to send the Kraken back down to Davy Jones’ Locker.
