Dawn of the Zeds (Third Edition): Expansion Pack #1 – Stepping Forward is an expansion for 1–4 players, with a listed play time of 120 minutes. Released in 2019, it introduces four new characters—three heroes and one Heroic Civilian group—ready to confront the Zeds.

“Big Wheels” Carter arrives with truckloads of supplies and ammo for the town. He can also plow over Zeds that get in his way, bringing a direct and forceful presence to the struggle for Farmingdale.

May Hauser offers a more supportive approach. She helps the heroes by conserving ammunition, lending her marksmanship, and providing aid to the cause. Her well-trained thoroughbred, General Lee, joins her as another valuable presence in the fight.

General Lee races across Farmingdale to assist heroes in need while charging through danger. Together, May Hauser and her horse add a distinctive combination of support, mobility, and courage to the growing roster of defenders.

The expansion also introduces The Check Mates, a new Heroic Civilians lonely-hearts game club. Their strength increases with Refugees in the camp, giving this group a clear connection to the people seeking safety during the crisis.
