About this expansion

DC Deck-Building Game: Crossover Pack 8 – Batman Ninja is an expansion for 2–5 players that plays in about 60 minutes, bringing the DC Deck-Building Game to feudal Japan.

Based on the Batman Ninja animated feature, this crossover pack lets players become Batman, Catwoman, Robin, Red Robin, Red Hood, or Nightwing. Together, they face five Super-Villains who act as daimyos and battle from within giant castles that come to life.

• Playable heroes: Batman, Catwoman, Robin, Red Robin, Red Hood, and Nightwing
• Super-Villain daimyos: The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Deathstroke, and Two-Face
• New keyword: Ninjutsu

Each Super-Villain has four colored sides matching the main card types: Hero, Villain, Super Power, and Equipment. During your turn, if the Line-Up contains a card matching one of those types, you must take it and place it beside the corresponding side of the Super-Villain.

Defeating a Super-Villain works differently in this expansion. Instead of placing the defeated card in your deck, you earn every card attached to it. This creates a distinctive reward for confronting each living castle while shaping the cards available to you.

The challenge escalates when the fifth Super-Villain is defeated: the five castles merge into one final titanic challenge. The Super-Villain card backs form sections of the giant merged castle, with The Joker’s head at the top. In DC Deck-Building Game: Crossover Pack 8 – Batman Ninja, the new Ninjutsu keyword gives the heroes much-needed help against the combined Super-Villains and their super castle.
