About this board game

Demeter is a standalone flip-and-write game for 1–100 players, playable in approximately 15 minutes. Set in the same universe and graphic style as Ganymede, it sends scientists on an expedition to a distant moon filled with prehistoric life.

You have boarded a ship departing from Ganymede for Demeter 1, one of the twin moons orbiting Demeter, a red dwarf planet. Both moons have an Earth Similarity Index of 0,98, and the first reconnaissance flight has revealed the presence of dinosaurs on Demeter 1.

Chahrazad leads this new expedition, and your task is to explore the moon and uncover its secrets. The goal is to score the most Mission Points, representing your ability to discover and study dinosaurs in their environment.

Demeter combines a compact play time with a broad player range and a focused scientific theme. Its components include:

• 100 scoring pads
• 75 action cards, with 15 in each of five colors
• 6 two-sided Species tiles
• 6 two-sided Objective tiles
• 1 Objective board
• A rulebook in English and French

The game also includes a bonus set of six Settlers Ship cards for Ganymede. Whether you are returning to this universe or discovering it for the first time, Demeter offers a concise mission centered on exploration, dinosaur discovery, and scientific study.

Released in 2020, Demeter provides a standalone experience while expanding the setting introduced by its earlier game. Prepare for an expedition to Demeter 1 and pursue the highest possible Mission Point score.
