¡Desplumados!

About this board game

¡Desplumados! is a 2019 game for 3–7 players, with sessions lasting 30 minutes. It challenges players to recover escaped chickens and be the first to gather four hens of the same color in their pen.

After a storm severely affects the farms in the area, all the chickens have escaped. Each player has four cards and, on their turn, chooses one action to recover chickens, affect an opponent, exchange a chicken, or manage their cards.

On a turn, the available actions are:

• Place a chicken in your playing area, known as the pen.
• Use a special card to annoy an opponent, including the tornado, impostor chicken, or foxes.
• Exchange one chicken for another in the prairie area.
• Discard several cards that are not useful and draw from the deck.

The pen is where you build toward your winning set, while the prairie offers chickens that can be exchanged during play. Special cards can disrupt an opponent’s progress, and discarding several unwanted cards gives you the chance to draw from the deck.

In ¡Desplumados!, every turn contributes to the race for a matching group of hens. The first player to recover four hens of the same color in their playing area wins. With escaped chickens, changing options in the prairie, and disruptive special cards, becoming the first successful farmer is anything but easy.
