Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game – Zahra Arvala / Mei Thompson

About this expansion

Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game – Zahra Arvala / Mei Thompson is a character-board addition for 1–5 players, with a play time of 180 minutes. Released in 2018, it features one additional Investigator and one additional Consultant for Antares.

This two-sided character board presents Zahra Arvala on one side and Mei Thompson on the other. It was originally offered as a pre-order bonus and was also available at Gen Con 2018.

Zahra Arvala is a former forensic scientist who now works for Antares. Well-educated and fluent in four languages, she has always been interested in working outside the laboratory environment. Her ability lets you spend 1 Authority token from the Token pool to discard 1 Stress token from the Token pool. Zahra also adds a Perception skill to the Token pool.

Mei Thompson is the head of the R&D department at one of Richmond’s biggest private laboratories. She rarely focuses on just one thing at a time and enjoys the human interaction involved in consulting for Antares. Her ability to find hidden meaning in seemingly uninteresting clues is represented by adding 2 Perception skills to the Token pool.

• Zahra Arvala: Investigator, with an Authority-for-Stress token ability and 1 Perception skill.
• Mei Thompson: Consultant, adding 2 Perception skills to the Token pool.

With its contrasting Investigator and Consultant sides, this expansion gives Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game two distinctive Antares characters, each defined by a different contribution to the Token pool.
