Dice Brewing

About this board game

Dice Brewing is a dice-building game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Each player takes the role of a brewer competing to become the beer master by collecting resources, brewing recipes, and earning mastery points.

Players develop their resource pool using a player board and two location cards: the marketplace and the black market. They also stock their storage with tokens that can alter the course of the game. The central challenge is gathering the right dice in the required quantities and values to brew the available recipes.

• Light malt: yellow dice
• Dark malt: black dice
• Hops: green dice
• Skill: blue dice that provide additional effects on recipe cards and resource dice

Brewing a recipe can provide gold, mastery points, or another effect. Players can also add special ingredients to enhance their recipes and earn bonuses such as additional gold or points. Different beer styles, specific malts and hops, and extra ingredients all contribute to the brewing challenge.

Dice results are not entirely left to chance. Cards can replace dice, increase rolled values, provide extra dice, or let players buy special ingredient tokens and action tokens. Action tokens may affect opponents or offer further dice manipulation, while the Apprentices can compete directly and use unrefined methods to make one another’s lives harder.

In Dice Brewing, every brew develops your resources and brings you closer to victory. When the game ends, the player with the most mastery points wins.
