About this board game

Dice Words is a timed word-building game for 2–4 players, with rounds lasting around 30 minutes overall. Each player chooses a set of seven letter dice, with every die representing a different iced beverage, then races to create the longest and most valuable word possible.

When a round begins, four ice cube-shaped letter dice reveal the round’s target letters. As the timer counts down, players must work with their personal letter dice while also trying to incorporate as many of these shared letters as possible.

Don’t have the letters you need? You can reroll any of your dice up to two times before the round ends. Every reroll offers a chance to improve your word, but the ticking clock keeps the pressure on and forces quick decisions.

The game’s central twist is the connection between words and temperature. The more target letters you successfully incorporate, the colder your drink becomes—and the higher your score. This gives players another objective beyond simply finding a long word.

Released in 2025, Dice Words combines wordplay, dice manipulation, and real-time pressure in a compact challenge for four players or fewer. Balance your available letters, your reroll opportunities, and the target letters revealed each round to create the best word you can before the timer reaches zero.
